There are about 20 mini-boutiques within the Hifi space.
I popped into the Pop-Up this morning to catch the photos I missed last night. Wow! The shopping there is really great! We are able to see a piece here and there of some of these designers sometimes but seldom have a chance to see an entire collection. It really is a must-see and a must-shop. It’s so important to support our emerging designers and of course Hifi itself.
Organik, which is based on the Big Island, is sold in Whole Foods and a few other places, but here is the entire collection of "Sirens and Sailors." On the left is the beginning of the MegByDesign boutique; she will launch in a show inside Hifi on Friday at 7 p.m.
Bags by Meleana (made of vintage Hawaiian fabrics) and a dress by Katie Bodnyk of HI State of Mind, who uses vintage silk scarves to make her tops and dresses.
Hand stenciled shirts by Sierra Dew and swimwear by Suzanna Kuhlemann of 1979 are also among the offerings.
Richie Miao's chic unisex line, called Lovelessizm, will be featured in a fashion show at Center Stage on Tuesday at 7 p.m., followed by shopping in the Hifi space.
A chance to shop for Deena White Tearney's practical and feminine line with a touch of the Islands, Umee.
Designer Amber Chesebro, a RISD grad, creates unusual, incredibly chic jewelry under the moniker SaltyGirl. Don't miss it!
…and this isn’t all of it. It’s really a must-shop place and it’s only open through March 27.
