Muse IX weaves gifts from sea and land

Muse IX Design's spring collection

Designer Lynda Caris of Makiki is just back from the Tucson Gem Show, one of her favorite haunts for inspiration, as well as collecting the raw materials for her Muse IX Designs jewelry line. In Tucson she found gold vermeil and sterling silver chains, mabe pearls, ice green amethyst, pyrite and black raw tourmaline, among other unusual treasures.

Inspired by gifts from the sea (pearls and shells) and land (raw amethyst, crystals and gemstones), Lynda has been weaving her magic into pendants and earrings in unusual combinations, punctuated with her signature 24K glazed ceramic beads.

Cultured keishi pearls, fine crystals and 24k glazed ceramic beads woven in a lei style.

She’ll be showing her spring collection at a trunk show:

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, February 19

Macy’s Ala Moana Viewpoint department, third floor

Although it’s always fun to have the designer help you style yourself, Muse IX pieces can be seen any time in a special jewelry case in Viewpoint.
