Want to test your talents?

If you dream of becoming a fashion designer but haven’t quite got up your nerve to audition for Project Runway, here’s an opportunity to test your talent on a local level.  The Bella Project is presenting a fundraiser, Rule the Runway, and they’re looking for emerging local designers to step up and start creating.

Participants will have one month to transform an out-of-date prom dress into a modern, hip design. Finalists will showcase their looks in a fashion show judged by local fashion folks at The Venue in Chinatown.

The winner will receive a trip to a neighbor island, including air and hotel.
Applications will be accepted until October 22; fashion show to be held November 17.

Interested participants should contact Amanda Ross at 808.271.0644 or thebellaproject@yahoo.com
It’s free to enter. Must be 18 years of age or older. Rule the Runway ticket sales will be announced shortly. Stay tuned to this blog.
