The glory of Ancient Olympia

I must apologize for all the ugly glitches in my blogs from Greece. The computers I have been trying to use are much slower than my touch and I seem to jam them up. I also can’t read the “edit” adn “Paste” – type instructions because, well, they are all in Greek.

I hope  to improve this situation as the trip progresses, and also to find more places where I  can use my own Netbook. We are in Ancient Olympia today and will visit the site where the first Olympics were held. The town is lovely. A pedestrian main street wiht little tavernas and charming store fronts.

We drove through the mountains to get her and who knew that Greece has a beautiful ski resort which is lovely for a coffee stop to simply gaze at the rolling hills and mountains behind. I don’t like to shop when abroad (I know, sacrilege) except in places that have typical farmer’s products. We found a beautiful little honey and a  shop. lmond – oops there it goes.
