Artist Sean Michael Gallagher

A "carpet" made of ceramic by Honolulu artist Sean Michael Gallagher

About a year ago, I interviewed artist Sean Michael Gallagher who had recently arrived in the Islands after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently teaching at the Academy Art Center at Linekona (also known as my “second home”).

Sean is one of those artists – like Allyn Bromley – who never lets his media limit him. He creates art using materials in totally unexpected ways. His work is truly amazing.

After several years of trying, he has started a Web site and it’s worth visiting:

That's Sean Michael Gallagher and one of his works.
